Hah you people are all misinformed. The laser jamming equipment is very easy to conceal, they actually work (unlike your sorry *** valentine 1), and the cops will never suspect I even have one, ever after clocking me. I actually have a friend that is a state trooper, and we tested someone's car that had a laser jammer on it. The Laser guns cops use usually take several shots to get a clear reading (depending on the light interference encountered, shape of the car, type of paint+wax, etc). You see, light diffraction is a very random process. SO if a cop sees that he did not get a reading it is NOT reason for him to suspect that the driver has a laser jammer (lol), it is reason for him to keep shooting the car until he gets a reading (at which point you would have been alerted by the laser jammer, and you slow down and hit the cut off switch). YES they are illegal just about anywhere, but I think speeding is fun and shouldn't be illegal in the first place so **** the police. RADAR DETECTOR's ARE USELESS.

lol @ that ghetto interior... the escort hardwire kit you can get cheap on amazon.com.
i have to get one for my gf's car and also my mom's.
my v1 on located just to the right of my rear view mirror whoever said that it should be mounted low, I disagree....
The higher it's mounted the better radar detection range you have. lower might offer better lazer detection, but once you're hit my lazer you're most likely tagged anyway.
if given a choice of which is more important I'd go with radar detection 100%

i mount many rd just above the left side of my rear view mirror. i used a telephone cord extension to extend the wiring from the power outlet. when i visited valentine one's office not too long ago, i noticed that the cars that were parked there (equipped with v1s of course), mounted their rds as high up on the windscreen as possible. who was i to argue with them. anyway i ended up with a passport x50.
radar jammers are illegal in all states because they are federally regulated (fcc). whereas laser jammers arent regulated by a federal agency which is supposed to be the fda hence laser jammers are regulated by the states. here in ca, there is specific law that prohibits (active) jamming on speed detection devices and that covers all current radar and lidar devices including future speed detection devices.

Does anyone have any info on what types of radar are being used in each state? I for one have never picked up anything other than K band and KA band here in CT. I turned off X band since only 2 or 3 states still use it and I'm getting tired of all the false readings on k band as well. I guess k band is the new Supermarket radar being used.
