Rub on some Langka and it will remove the touch-up paint in seconds, leaving the factory paint alone. I know from much experience ....

^That's the best way to do it. You want to make sure to hit only the raised touchup paint and basically sand it down until it is flush with the existing paint. And if you do it properly it will look great. If you do it wrong, worst case is you'll end up repainting the trunk.

For future reference, based on your pics, you could have probably just buffed out that scratch instead of globbing on touchup paint. The scratch did not look very deep in the pics. So a little buffing with a light rubbing compound and/or some cleaner wax would have probably made it barely noticable.

Clay bar won't do squat. Try an abrasive polishing compound and if that doesn't work try super fine sanding paper.

That doesn't look too bad at all. I've had similar scratches and what worked for me was using rubbing compound on a terry cloth and lots of rubbing. You can get rubbing compound at any autoparts store. Then get a terry cloth get some compound on the cloth and rub that scratch likes theres no tommorow. That should take almost everything out.
