New IX . Please Correct me if I'm wrong

I've been doing my research on how im going to start my mods.

From what I've gather so far, i should get a new TBE...
Then...
this is the part I'm not sure of, I need to get new full customize ECU from Dynoflash and they will mail it to me. So i can have it installed. I should get around 330 or less.

Am I forgetting something here???

Yip, sounds about right.

Try a Bushur stage one for the IX if ya like.

Dont really need the fuel pump for the IX, dont need an MBC unless you want to turn up boost.

So you can keep your warranty by putting the stock DP and cat on b4 visiting the dealer

As much as I get annoyed by people telling everyone to search, this honestly has been answered, I disagree with tons of topics people complain that the person didnt research, but they will be rigth about this one, for one you can go look at Buschur and Vishnu staged upgrades and that will give you a clear picture of what mods go first.

So a re-flash is perferable with a turbo back, but not needed with just a cat back? Just trying to get this straight.

Right, TBE opens up the exhaust more than just a cat-back.

Actually i did look at Buschur and Vishnu but I'm just trying to find something with a lower price...As far as my research about this, thats what I've come up with, and I'm only asking if I'm missing something.

I would suggest high flow cat and cat back. DP is not worth the 3-4 hp IMO on the IX. Then I would get a flash from your favourite tuner.

Cat back on a stock IX will make some power but will also not produce a very good curve when you dyno it...the ECU kind of pulls back when it sees the higher flow - at least on my IX it did this until the tune sorted it all out

I picked up 4hp installing a 70mm Tanabe DP vs stock. Results can and will vary.

I understand what you were looking for with this topic, most of these replies don't.

Go ahead and search for "Most-Wanted" and "Warrtalon" under the search>user name, option. Warrtalon offers a package that is very cheap, and only has the bare minimum parts you need to go fast. Most-Wanted has a IX with very minimal modding in the mid 11's so check him out as well, though you would just have to follow his mod path because he doesn't offer a package.

FYI There was just a subject started on this matter as one of the tuners dyno'ed a stock IX w/ turbo back exhaust and NO tune, and showed the same gains in peak power, so you may want to save your ecu tuning money for after you get a few more mods.

Dont mail off your ecu if you live in the BA!

You live in norcal you need to stop by WORKS and get the latest maps done on site. They like alot of tuners are getting 300 to the wheels easily on the IX's. Works gets it done with a flash & TB exhaust that is quiet! They charge nothing to reflash as you mod even if you have to mail it in.

They are off the 101 and Ceasar Chavez exit, regards

Vishnu may be expensive but they are nothing but quality people, parts and service. Shiv put a base flash on a bone stock IX running 91 octane and made 270awhp on a Dyno dynamics...thats without any custom tuning mind you... I am getting tuned by him in GA at dyno4mance and am expecting to be closer to 280awhp on dyno dynamics. I havent seen any numbers like that from any other company on a bone stock car....
