ebay motors

I was on the ebay motors web site and typed in the search bar mitsubishi lancer and alot of parts showed up I was looking at a muffler and was wornding if I bought it would't I need to get bigger pipeing for the exaust would that help the horsepower and if yes what size of pipe and what kind. would putting a new muffler on void the cars warenty.

wont void warranty, you will prolly need custom piping. Better off going with the magnaflow via RRM, it is a direct bolt on with 2.25 axle back exhaust. If you get the cheap-o exhaust on ebay you will eventually have to pay for installation, welding, custom pipes etc. Plus the magnaflow exhaust was MADE for our car so it will be the optimal thing to buy....

i found a r-1 exhaust on ebay...46.99...20 shipping...took it to a local muffler shop...20 bucks to put on...took him about an hour...did the custom piping and all the welds...looks nice...sounds great..for less than 100 bucks...well worth it to me...i dont have 400 bucks...for an exhaust...(hence the name)

PLEASE pay attention to where you're posting new threads. Read the warranty thread I've stickied in the Newbie Forum (where I'm moving this thread).

Piping does not necessarily have to be changed. You can have it welded to your stock piping with a flange even if the muffler's inner piping is larger than stock.
