First off, I'd like to express my condolences to Mark's family & friends.
Now onto my introduction.
I'm considering picking up a Lancer (had to do it) Evolution IX. Being involved with that "Neon" website
these past 3.5 years I've gained and shared a lot of information regarding the SRT-4. I'm looking to do the same here.
I've yet to decide on a color simply because they all look good IMO. My neighbor (EMonz57) has a very nice TB, however, I'm leaning towards WW, although GG is a rather unique color. See what I'm talking about.
I'm more performance oriented, so I'm considering the lighter RS (WW) version. Since I already have roll-up rear windows (I know) that won't be tough to live with. I'm not so sure I can live w/out music though. I will do a search to see if the RS's come pre-wired for an audio system.
As for pricing, I see that a few West Coast dealers are selling for invoice. Does anyone know of Southeastern Coast dealers (FL preferably) doing the same?
Thanks for taking the time to read about me. I hope to get to know a lot of you gals/guys in the near future.
Stay safe, and God bless!

Welcome to the evom family. I have a 06 IX RS. The car does come pre wired for a radio. it took me less then an hour to install everything. The evo is a awesome car. You can make the car pretty fast for not alot of money. If you wanna go crazy the car has limitless potential. Not to mention it has traction
. Good luck with you decision

glad to have you here. as stated before, yes the car does come prewired, and i can't remember the exact site but there's a banner ad that pops up from time to time advertising evo's at invoice in cali. you might also want to try www.invoicedealers.com.
It's great to see new positive influences like yourself joining the community. You'll love it here, and you'll love you're new car even more.
WW is my favorite color, though i have TB but i hate it.
In all reality South Coast Mitsubishi is known for having the cheapest Evos, and though it is far away from you, a ton of east coasters get them shipped, so i don't think it's much to worry about.

Thanks for the welcome people.
Yeah, I performed the search an also found the RS is pre-wired. How are you dealing with the absence of ABS, diablors? I recently sold my '03 Cobra, so I have some experience w/big gains, low cost. As for the Evo's potential, it's the main reason for my interest.
Thanks for that link, purecoda. I had my Cobra shipped from MI, so that will be an option if I cannot get my deal here.

while you're at it, you should check out the section on this site for South Coast Mitsubishi. Print out their ad and go around from dealership to dealership trying to get them to match or beat their price. That way you dont have to wait to have one shipped to you if you get one from SCM... I printed out the ad and went to 3 different dealerships and 2 of them said they would match the price, so I went there and brought home my Evo the next day. BTW: GG is the fastest color, ya know.

Welcome to the boards! post some pictures up in show & shine when you get the beast. The abs is bad to deal with out, the sound denting many people complain about but i dont even notice it anymore. The only thing i would warn you of is always to remember to lock all the doors (no power locks). Other then that have have fun with it!
