New to the Evo??

I just bought the EVO IX 2 weeks ago and I want to get a new intake, exhaust, D/P, intercooler, Bov, and turbo. But from the people that I have asked they can't give me a straight answer is all the parts that fit the Evo 8 will fit the Evo 9.
Any info would really help me.

No, not all, but most. The cams don't carry over, but everything you listed should fit the same.

However, I highly recommend not doing all that to your IX. It can go VERY FAST on the stock turbo, stock BOV, stock FMIC, and stock intake. Unless you're planning on going huge (like 500+whp), then I suggest finding out how awesome the IX is in near-stock form. If you really do plan to go huge, please sell me your stock turbo.

Well I went from a 01' Eclipse gt to the Evo so that in it's self is a huge upgrade. But I spent close to $5,000 on after market parts on the eclipse. I am wanting to spend about the same amount, and I wanted to know what is the most bang for the buck.

ECU Flash, turbo back exhaust and driving lessons. That's about all you really need. Maybe with the money you have left over you could get a spare set of wheels/tires too.

Places like Vishnu, Works and DynoFlash will flash a new map to your ECU. You send them the ECU and give them a list of mods and they can develop a map to fit your needs. It's safe, reliable and effective. If you change your set up after that most will charge a nominal fee to reflash a new map to your ECU. The ECU has the ability to be flashed several hundred times without hurting it. (I don't know the exact number on the Evo but I know the STi has a 100 flash limit)

You need to realize that the IX is a very capable machine straight out of the box. It already has a decent size turbo, a large FMIC, large fuel pump (compared to the VIII and STi) and with MIVEC it is more than capable of producing tremendous power with a simple ECU flash, exhaust and new cams. Save your money and enjoy the IX then when you are ready go wild and buy a new turbo, headers and stand alone engine management system. Oh yeah, don't forget to put a new clutch in too!

For 5k,you could bought TBE(all the way 3"),Intake(BR Cone or HKS RS(These 2 are best, don't get K&N Typhoon),Dynoflash or Dynoflash E Flash(You need Tactrix Cable and ECUFlash Software, you could also tune yourself if you know how to do tuning),MBC,Mentahol Injection,HKS 280ex cam,Clutch(Exedy or Tilton). If you have money left, bought a Rear Anti Roll Bar.

Dirty, before you ask another extremely noobish question, please do some searching. We talk about this stuff all day long.

I don't think you need to worry about spending 5k on the Evo. It is so much faster than your Eclipse even with no mods, so just do something basic like my IX package and see what you think. You'll be up around 330-340whp with $1300 spent. You can then decide where to spend the other 3700. Please don't screw around with IC pipe kits already - get mods that make power.

If you want, look at my upgrades. On my IX they really really work, my time slip says it all.
