As far as the brakes go...I'm just about to hit 600 miles. They stop pretty good when I stomp on them, but they really seem to lack initial bite which makes them kind of unpredictable to me, but I'm still getting used to the car. It drives so much different than my GSX.
+1 on the brakes. It sometimes feels like I am pushing the pedal harder than I should have to. I always stops though

The brake application is linear. Perhaps you guys are used to a brake system biting with more initial force and then decreasing its effectiveness at an increasing rate. Compare this to the Evo which increases the brake effort at an increasing rate, relative to stopping power. I hope this made sense.

yeah i love the breaks, feel great to me. of course i am coming from cars with drums. the evo breaks have saved me numerous times on socal freeways where soccer moms on cell phones while doing makeup decide to make lanechanges without looking. you think im kidding, its a daily occurence. maybe they feel better after they seat or break in or what ever u wanna call it that pads have to do.

Mine felt great right away. Maybe it's not the brakes, but the driver's point of reference? Something to consider.
