Sounds like some people get all defensive about one post of an STI being faster than an evo stock or modded. I get the impression this is all about how fast the STI is compaired to an evo. There is a lot more to the cars than just 0-60 and quarter mile times. I rode in a modded evo and thought that it was faster up top at best. For me I like the torque and midrange power. I cant see myself always redlining it to work and back. I want an MR for the weekends and track days. I will keep my STI for daily driving.

I traded my 05 sti stage 2 in on a 06 evo ix ssl. in stock mode everyone said I was crazy for trading in the sti, but as soon as I got the tbe,fp,mbc and tune, that was all she wrote. I do wish I would have drove a MR with the six speed, and compared it to the sti's six speed.

180hp on a mustang dyno??
It was either runing on 2 cyllinder, or you had the crack pipe lit up.
