hmm but i tried the 3rd and 5th gear pull and it didnt slip, the turbo just sounded dull, if im getting compressor surge and i put the stock bov back on would that fix the problem or my turbo is basically messed up?

Try it... see what happens... also if you get froggy pull you intake off and see if you have any shaft play in the turbo.

Try to install the stock BOV on and tell us what happens after. If you still have a problem its your clutch I would also be willing to make a bet

Take a look at your cat,I had a aftermarket cat that fell apart. It blocked the exhaust,
sometimes it would boost to9psi or 12psi depending on how much was blocked.
good luck

From your comments, we're going down a dead end road. You say the clutch is fine in 3rd and 5th and that it's not slipping, but in a previous post you said the rpms drop when boost hits, which is a clear indication that the clutch is slipping. Then, the fact you've gone through 3 pages and are still using that BOV just irks me. You have to put on a regular bov like the stocker or JDM MR DV, you need someone that knows a little about cars to test the clutch, and you need someone that has a clue about Evos to check over the car for you.

i wanna thank all of you guys for being so helpful or at least trying to help..i really appreciate it..i just put the stock one on today and i drove it for about 30 mins and the car was running wonderful so hopefully it was my bov...i drove to pick up the stock bov with the hks on but i wasnt experiencing any problems....the weird thing is when i had the hks on the problem only happened once a while..so i'll see if the problem comes back wit the stock one.

RPM's don't drop if the clutch is slipping, they increase because the load applied to the engine is lost through the slipping clutch.
