Too much. Just sell it and get the color you want.

If you are seriously considering an A+ paint job...you can easily reach, if not start at, $10,000. I had a FORD '66 Mustang GT Coupe, repainted in FORD candy apple red for around $7,500. It was killer and mirror quality finish but I had prepped the car myself to save some $$; i.e. removal of all trim and bumpers, tapped off engine and all under carriate parts, etc....The shop told me it would have been around $1,000 to have it prepped by the painter........it can get very costly my friend.

MAACO.......they do A+ for cheap looking job, but a truly nice paint job costing at least $8000. then you have to consider the paint and any details you may want. I say go with House of Color paint.

All depends on the quality you want. A total custom job will get expensive.

I would say starting at 4k. But if you do jams, and engine bay to change color another 2k. Painting can get very expensive. As someone else said, buy the color you want.

Paint it self is very pricey $ All the materail are going up in price , A simple gallon of PPG paint in say a RED 2 stage paint such as RR on the evo is close to $400 a gallon , white is cheaper ,and thats just the paint , you need still Sealer and clear and reducer, harndner, but to do a very nice re shoot on a car , the door's and everything will have to come off.

Read a book...do it yourself. I knew s h i t on painting cars, as I probably do about anything, until I educate myself...one task at a time.
