2006 Evo Rs Vs. 2006 Evo Mr!!

Hey guys I was chattin with a buddy of mine and he said that the EVO MR'S come with 8 xtra hp because of the hot side of the turbo is bigger?!?! is this true? I thought the only difference with the RS, GSR vs. MR is the 6speed tranny and suspension? Thanks!

as far as i know all 9s are the same in terms of power in the us. In japan there are various turbo differences amongst the models.

There are many more differences than just what you mentioned. The clutch disc on the mr uses longer springs for softer engagement.

The MR comes with HIDS stock, Also the MR comes with teflon coated cables and a few cosmethics differences as well. MR has BBS rims forged.

Also you can tell your friend he has no idea of what he is talking about. All Evo 9 trims are rated at the same power.

Actually on the Evo 9 the first 4 gears were shorten a bit making them very similar to the MR.
