its honestly only worth the 6 speed, and the aluminum roof.
my car came out to 46,350 i got every bell and whistle.

I mean the regular MR costs $2000 more than the IX SE. The MR SE (or appearance package if you want to call it that) costs $2500 over the IX SE. So if you got the MR SE over the regular IX SE, you would be spending $2500 more but the only main difference is getting the 6 speed and the Bilsteins.

To me, I dont need the 6 speed other than to tell people I have a 6 speed and I cant justify spending that much money for the suspension. I like the struts on my 03 so its not like I am in for a surprise.

MR is worth the money, for resale alone. Everyone and their mother has a non MR, not a bad thing, but resale will be stronger on the much more limited MR.

The SE is a joke. When was the last car that was badged 'Special Edition' done well? I hate the label personally. The red stitching is hit or miss, its a miss for me, looks like $hit and cheapens the look of the Recaros, your results may vary.

SE front splitter looks like crap too IMO. Again your results may vary.

SE will not hold value like an MR will. Get the MR.

I would not recommend getting the MR strictly for resale value. If you look up on kbb.com private party retail on a 2005 MR in good condition is $26,200. On a 2005 regular VIII with the same ratings is $25,100. Thats only 1k difference so to spend all the extra on it when new just to get another 1k out of it isnt worth it in my opinion. Now if you really want the extras of the MR, then get it because thats the car you want. If you like the extras of the SE then get that. Its all personal opinion about what looks/features you want.
