Aren't the IX's overall going to be even more rare since they only came out in 2006? VIII's were produced 03-05.

Agreed. I swapped my VIII seats for IX's, and they feel much softer in comparison. The IX's do look a whole lot better, though.

I like the VIII for the rareness and the fact that they didn't even make an MR in the IX in the rest of the world. I was really hoping when I bought my car that they would not have the MR for the IX and certainly did not think they would have the GG color especially for the regular Evo. I definitely do not regret getting my VIII though.

It's funny that the Japanese don't even have GG as a color option.

yup and infact, ive never even seen another 8mr here in houston other than mine. seen at least 7 or so 9mr's

well for starters the evo IX doesn't have a 20g its a 16g just like the VIII but it had a slightly bigger compressor housing. your choice. on the one you cant go wrong either way.

one GG VII MR chiming in here. I've only seen 1 other, but I believe you.
Never seen a IX on the road- one GG IX and 1 GG IX MR at kirkwood Mitsu when they first came out.
The used GG VIII MR is a trade in, used to run at Gateway but I believe it broke a motor. Bummer.
I like my VIII MR, I didn't see a need to run out and trade it for an IX. I likem both.
The change in the rear wing was a little different- not being completely CF. Seemed a bit flimsy, but the Wickerbill is cool.

i prefer the IX front bumper and interior, but like the wing better on the VIII and also like the fact that it's one of 1,000. as far as power, put a IX turbo on your VIII and they're damn near equal except for a tad bit more low-to-mid range in the IX due to mivec.
