hey guys i'm new coming from the other side 
. i am in the market for another car and i am really interested in the evo9 MR..lol GG!!. anyways, if i have to i would settle with the evo8 MR. i know the 9's motor has been revised but my concern is the drivetrain. i keep hearing about the issues with the clutch and tranny with the 8s..so did mitsu revise the drivetrain issue with the 9? or was that just with the 5 speeds? i''m a fan of the 6mt so that's why i want the MR.
i'm not looking to go all out with the 9..just TBE and tune as i want a nice fast daily driver with some style. my other car will be used as a full project car. thanks in advanced.
oh yea 9MR > 8MR & JDM rear bumper > USDM rear bumper.

The better car is whatever your preference is; what makes you enjoy it the most. I like the look of my 8 better than a 9. As far as what is faster? I didn't see any IXs making record passes at the shootout today.

Other than the get together I was able to make it to down in Pittsburgh back in June, I've yet to see another Evo, of any year, on the road.
but i do agree people that have the VIII MR have the rarest EVO
