converted to evo?

hey everybody just wondering if someone can help me out. I'm moving out of the states and going to Colombia. They dont sell evos over there and it'll cost me too much money to ship mine their... so question is how hard is it to convert a lancer to an evo? would i have to stiffin up the frame? Or how hard would it be to convert an older mirage into a evo? any help would be appreciated...because my only other alternative is to buy a 350z over there but i'm not a huge fan of 350's. any help or constructive comments would be appeciated.

i honestly think it would be cheaper to ship it rather then try building one.

I'll probably have to agree on the shipping. Ship the evo, surely it won't cost nowhere near as much as a conversion. Good luck!

well shipping cost about 2 grand but then i would have to pay off my car 17 grand and after that i would have to pay an import tax which is the 100 percent value of the car to let it into the country.

hahaha you guys sure are funny. its alot cheaper to turn a older(93-96 97-01) mirage into an evo then to buy one (but takes more time) because the 4G63T bolts right in and the body panels are direct bolt in also. but turning a lancer (02-06) into an evo is very hard cos the 4G63 doesnt bolt in and the body panels arent the same so major modification is required.

I'm from Thailand and the tax there is 300% !!!!!!! so for every car you buy, you get two for the government. Evo's and Sti's cost almost $100,000 over there!
