yellow 03
yellow 03
Hey,
I found a yellow 03 evo VIII. Base model. It has 46k on it and a few minor bolt
ons. It is way over priced. The dealer wants ( well actually is asking) for 26k for
it. The sales guy that I was talking to even said it was over-priced. I was
wondering what a fair price for this car would be. It has a few minor scratches
and little wear in the interior. I found an 03 with I believe 12k miles on it about
5 months ago selling for 24,900. I was wondering what I could do to get the
dealer down on the price. The dealer is Tony Domiano on Carbondale Highway
in P.a. My dad bought a jeep from there and the sales guy told us that they
would most definately compinsate with us since we bought from there before.
What is a descent price for the 03's these days with about 50k miles on them?
Thanks,
Linko

I know of a guy selling a yellow 03 for 21K obo. Pm if you're interested, it's in central IL.
FYI, yellow is a hideous color that usually gets far below book on sales becuase it is so undesireable. The market is pretty much glutted with yellow evos. Not hating on them, because if you like yellow, then that's entirely up to you, but just be aware that it is harder to sell and they are usually worth less than the 'normal' colors.

No ****. Wow. I'll have to bring that up to the dealer about the yellows. Its the only one
they have there so im sure if I say I dont like the yellow they'd drop it down. Ill have to
get a kelly bluebook value of an 03 for extra proof on that. Thanks guys,

Sorry, I need some help. Can someone get me a link to a site that gives the suggested
retail value of a yellow 03 evo VIII with about 47 thousand miles on it. It got nicks and
scratches here and there and it doesnt look BRAND new. It looks good but not brand
new, the engine compartment is fairly clean but has a little rust in it.
I cant get a good site to work for me. My internet is acting up. I've been dying
to buy an evo for quite a while now. I'm going to take this yellow one for a ride
this saturday @ 10 am. Ive never even driven one yet. I only got to sit in one.
I cant imagine my reaction after I drive it. Thanks,
Kris

odd, we have the same first name (even the spelling).
I doubt you'll have to point out to the dealership that they're going to have a hard time selling a **** yellow car. It's like telling a person that they're eating a turd instead of a candybar, they can usually tell from the taste of the thing.....
try nadaguides.com for a decent assessment of the value of the car and then subtract about 10% for the color.

Ahh yes the first drive... IT is everything and more that you will be expecting... Just don't let that show because if you are going to talk them down don't show them how much you can't resist the car... Hopefully everything works out for you on Saturday.. And I have been told that NADA is a better source for car buying prices because it is the closest to what banks use for loans... Have fun.. and if you get it make sure you let us know!
