welcome! white's the best color IMO...there's a thread somwhere round here where everybody says what they do. I think the name is "What evo owners do for a living?" something like that just do a search. Be safe

Congrats man, I was in the same boat as you. I waited, saved, and obsessed over getting an EVO. I got my IX RS and I love it. A couple of changes here and there and the car is good to go. First mod should be a radio and speakers.

thanks for the warm welcome guys...day 4 waiting sucks....soo excited. then today the guy from south coast called me and qupted 26000 for an rs. 3 grand less than the one i ordered so i was thinking i would cancel my order and have southcoast send one up to new york. asap. since my deposite on the one on the way id fully refundable. the internet sales rep wanted to send me papers to get started today, but i told him i would get back to him on that. i just had a few questions for anyone who bought theres through them. i wanted to know how much shipping would be. how quickly it would arive. how the trade in process would work.
thanks in advence

Well like you I obsessed over getting my evolution after visiting a dealership on a off chance. I just wanted to see what they had in stock. I stepped in the door and they had one Apex Silver Evo 2004. They were only allocated so many as I was told in Tucson, Arizona I think that dealership only got about 5 that year Phoenix got the rest. I traded my 2002 RSX-S for about 13,000. And I Just Graduated College so, I got a little help with the rest. I still had to pay the title and taxes. I don't do anything super exciting but, I work in a Law Firm with the Real Estate Finance Group....Law School..maybe..who knows

congrats on the purchase.
It's going to be the longest days of your life waiting for the car.
Def good choice in color BTW.

I am self employed.
Have a small wireless phone business.

It's really cool that you're a mechanic since you'll be able to do most of the work yourself.
I do some of the work by myself but it's all small work.
Anything major, I would have to take it to a mechanic.

I would suggest you download a workshop manual on line asap.
I forgot what website it is but you can download it for free.
Someone on this site should know where to lead you though.

Congrats on the purchase. I am going to socal to purchase my car as well. But since I am only 400 miles away I am driving my trade in to the dealership. I dont know how they can appraise your trade in without seeing it. Probably wont happen. It cost 7-800 to ship it and takes like two weeks.

I'm going to be paying 25000 +t/l for an rs because of my grad and govt discount.

I am 23 and I am a real estate developer/investor and I'm paying for the evo myself. I will own it from day one . Hopefully I get at least 10K for the trade in.
