E-fash here. Initial maps were great and I have the option of tweaking myself or flashing back to stock if need be.

In all, I loved the customer service (when they did answer), and I loved the tune. The car was positively perfect after the mail in flash that Vishnu sent me.

great feedback thus far guys.

My concerns so far are this.

Vishnu, from what I have gathered on this leans the map a little on the unsafe side? Is that true? I want something that will be safe everyday. I do not want to do anything myself. I may in the future if arises get a custom tune. However, that will only be if i can find a dyno and tuner that will be close by in a timeframe that is good for me.

Right now, I just want a good flash "through the mail" to go with my turboback.

My first mod was the works p2. Very satisfied with the tune and the service they provided. I've built they're TR340 kit piece by piece. reflashes are always free, with WORKS parts. Solid boost to redline, pulls like a @#$%!

What do you think would be a better idea. A througth mail flash, dynoflash, vishnu, works. Or a custom ecuteck flash from a local tuner that apparently is a really really good tuner.

ECUFlash from a local tuner. Before and after dyno, only mod is an MBC.

During the dyno runs we were up in the 275whp range, but he lowered it due to EvoScan showing a tiny count of knock in a few spots (1-2). No knock at all during the final runs or on the road afterwards. This is on 92 octane.

If you've got a good local tuner, I'd give them your business. Any custom tune you know will fit your car and be safe.

damn that is a really good dyno for just a mbc? how much boost?
I just hate how the power drops off after 6K, what causes this and how can it be corrected? I know works says they keep the power going all the way up to 7800 if you want.

22 psi. Tapers down to 18 at redline. I think the Works tune includes different piping for the boost solenoid to eliminate taper IIRC.

I did a bit of research and also decided that Works was solid but the most conservative. I've heard +/- about the Dynoflash experience, with the neg mostly attributed to interaction with Dynoflash. I ended up going with Vishnu because Shiv is well known for being a fanatical tuner that provides a thorough tune not only for WOT but for part throttle. It seems that Vishnu is still optimizing the Exo IX Xflash too. I just got my Xflash in the mail from Shiv yesterday. He told me over the phone that my flash is the first to incorporate a revised MIVEC map that is supposed to improve low rpm power a bit.

i'm wondering, wouldn't it be worth it in the long run to get something like aem ems, or other stand alone? or is that something you guys feel is a "down the road\hardcore racer type thing"? or is it the price of the "stand alones" that is not worth it? i know this may seem like a noob statement and questions, but just like a "stand alone" you have to get retuned\reflashed after almost every mod you do. just me, i went with the ems, and i am getting tuned by a local shop.

No it isn't We all find it humorous when we hear this rumor on the streets and various meetings. We finally found out who is spreading this rumor and one day I just might have a friendly talk with them. Seriously though, it's times like this when I wish other tuners would let their product speak for themselves. When done correctly, they speak a heck of a lot louder than any marketing bs.

Thanks shiv. I do searches and didn't find if it was true or false, thanks for letting this go to sleep now. I understand rumors and that is why I take a lot of the forum with a grain
