ix owners (what flash would, did u get)

I am currently shopping for a flash. I cannot for the life of me decide which way to go.

Works p2r, dynoflash, or vishnu.

I am trying to search through the forums and decipher bs from fact. I want something safe, but I also want something that is going to put some power to the ground. I am leaning to works just because its factory controlled and is the medium as far as price. I like the fact that it holds boost all the way to the increased redline of 7800. However, I haven't seen many dynos of theirs nor real life track times or customer feedback.

So, evo ix owners. What did you choose and why?

I chose Vishnu because of the software they use (Ecutek) and their expertise in tuning the Evo. Every tuner in my area said that the Ecutek system was the best way to go, which is why I have a custom flash from Jestr Tuning for the added mods to my car.

In all, I loved the customer service (when they did answer), and I loved the tune. The car was positively perfect after the mail in flash that Vishnu sent me.

mannnn its like asking yourself if u want to do a blonde chick or a brunette chick ( IN fact that both of them are hott)

^^ i dont kno how that helps heh

Well it all depends on how far u want to go wit the mods? Jus lookin for a mail-in flash?, custom flash b/c u might get cams or watever, and price wise. All the companies there are all good but its jus which is more convienient for you. Ppl will recommend bushur, vishnu, turbotrix, dynoflash, precision dyno, and tons of others

Dont get a flash from anyone that uses ECUtek. The reason being when you finally decide to start tuning yourself and are unable to, you are not going to be very happy. If you are going to go the "storebought" route, Dynoflash isnt bad from the ones that I have seen. Price and performance are acceptable. There are better, but it comes down to budget and mods that you intend to do.

305hp/302tq - Dyno Jet

Car runs perfectly smooth and worth every penny

The guys here with the WORKS flash are more than satisfied with the results, and in my own conversations with WORKS engineers, they detail how they purposefully leave a little power on the table to preserve the longevity of the engine --- something that others never seem to do, since their only goal is power, power, POWER!

Sure, there are cheaper flashes out there, but there are just too few people with anything negative to say about WORKS, that they must be rendering great service consistently.

I too went with WORKS. From what I have been reading nobody has had any negative comments on them. The only complaint is they are too conservative which is ot a complaint for me.

Yeah I like the works p2, but I want the most hP with the safest tune. I guess I can't have both..

For a long while I just plan tbe, drop in filter, and flash. Just simple.

Maybe in a couple years big turbo.

I went with Vishnu and everything seems ok. Power feels good. Gas mileage got better too. I hear alot of good things about WORKS p2 also. My redline is raised to 7800 too, but i never go up there... all the power drops off after 7000 rpm. I dunno if WORKS does or not since they hold boost to redline... mine tapers to like 16psi.

the p2 i saw showed power all the way up to 7800, so i'm not sure, but you know dyno graphs can be fixed and smoothed to not show the details that well.

I was in the same shoes as you for a long time. I finally was able to get my car tuned by a local tuner. He used the ecuflash and came up w/ a very good result.
