My car is melting!

I think its undercoating left in a pile under my car. Just wanted to see if anybody else experienced this. I haven't had a chance to look under there to see if its something else. Sort of like a black tar type of material.

Anybody know why its melting? Seems like when the a/c is on it occurs.

Do you have any big exaust leaks after the DP/Cat connection?

Thats a good question. I need to look under there when it cools down. Do you think it would goo out like that on a car with only 1800 miles?

It may have been sprayed too thick in a spot where the exaust piping is close enough to heat it up.
When I installed my cat-back, the guy forgot to give me the plug for the extra bung. I drove it down to the parts store to get a spark plug to temp plug it and I got the hot, sticky, gooey mess all over my hand.
After it cools down, you should be able to see a hardened "drip" where it's coming from.

that undercoating is normal.
You're car is not melting...LOL.
That's how they come from the factory.

I've had two evos and it was like that.
It acts a bit like a sound deadening and also rust proofing.

Just try not to get it on you when you're underneath working on the car.
It's a pain in the @$$ to wash it off.

I noticed on driver side front struts that they over sprayed the under coating. I guess they didn't think it was any harmful... That shows Mitsu Quality Control... I've never seen it on other cars that I owned...
