What voids warranties?

I have APS exhaust and DP on my 05 MR with 4000 miles on and Im looking at doing some other stuff like a front mount from buschar and his o2 housing. Am i pushing the warrinty limits there? Well they be able to detect a ecu flash also if it is just going for a simple repair? I know I can remove all of it for anything major but with these mods will you get black flaged?

Technically everthing you have listed will "void" the warranty. They will also be able to detect a flashed ECU.

Read that.

Edit: The wiki source doesn't really explain the part I was interested in, I will look for a better source.

Also, it's never a good idea to bring in a car with a flash. Revert it to stock before you bring it in.

Depending on the dealer, they can service your car with cams on it without a problem, or they can void your warranty for having a pine scented air freshner hanging on the rear view mirror.

All depends on the dealer and who is working on the car. If you get a tech that is into modding cars, he probably wont mess with you. If you go to a dealer that has been burned before by covering things under warranty that got refused by Mitsu, they will probably be looking for reasons to deny your warranty.

As for the flash, you shouldnt have much problem unless you have some kind of problem that could be related to a bad flash. Then they might look to make sure you dont have one. If you just take it in for somthing else, I doubt any techs are going to waste their time looking for a flash on your car just to mess with you. I know I wouldnt.

#1 That act was created by SEMA and aftermarket vendors
#2 Thus it created for thier puropose of selling more goods under the notion that people would feel more comfortable modding thier cars if the dealer had to prove the problem originated from the aftermarket part
#3 So, tipically dealers would ignore that act as it isn't really even supported by SEMA or the aftermarket in law, they will say this and that, but when it comes down to taking the dealership to court, they won't even bother backing you on that
#4 Read up on cases with this act, none of them have really gone through
#5 If you want a warranty, then don't mod, if u mode, forget about a warranty, and make sure you have atleast 1/4 value of the car to buy replacment parts that you break

Basicly They Will Try to Void your Warranty Cause it left the Dealer ship lot. Or they will tell you something like If you abbuse the Vehicle you can't expect us to fix it. They always give you a run arround. And if you put parts on and then take them off and put the car back to stock they can tell, because the use a special Chemical reactive paint on the screws and parts that comes off when you use tools. That red paint is just to throw you off.

Lets Say You got an Short ram intake, and your tranny blows. The Dealer says the That the short ram intake increased the engines output power and the transmission could not handle the excess power there for the gears got hotter and broke or whatever.

Starting the engine will void your warranty. You pushed in the clutch? Now your tranny is void.

Mod the car if u want if it goes crappy and cant get it fixed trade it in. Only thing i say is mod and be smart don't kill ur car and ame sure u are tuned for the mods. If u want warranty then stocker is the way 2 go but u prob still get dealers trying not to cover if something breaks.

I firmly believe that driving the evo off the lot does not void the warranty. The warranty stays in full effect until the 5 years expire, or you need something fixed, whatever happens first.

Having a warranty claim is what voids the warranty...

As long as nothing ever breaks or wear out, your car will be fully warrantied. if something breaks or wears out, forget it. youve just voided the warranty.
