It's too fast for them

Honestly though, I love my car. Now that I have it, I wouldn'tve been happier with anything else.

it's not the car ..
i think it's mitsubishi ...

once u buy an Evo .. ur Warranty is worthless ...
you're on ur own ..
and the Service suck .. and all that ... and not getting any help or what so ever ...

and also as it being most expensive vehicle to insure .... and keepin it maintained ...

the evo seems impossible to own ..

best guess is that most ppl didn't realize the maintenance "headaches" that comes with owning an Evo. tires, brake pads, 91 oct etc aren't exactly cheap stuff. also most ppl tend to buy cars that are a bit out of their price range...add that to the maintenance money and there u have it...

or they just didn't like the car. turbo lag, bad mpg, too much attention from ricers/rednecks/cops, etc....

honestly it really doesn't matter why they're selling it. if u're wondering if it's because there are giant flaws about the IX's (very weak clutch, not moddalbe, unreliable etc); well there isn't.

There seems to be viable reasons for the ones being sold. Purchasing homes, too expensive, not practical for their use. Doesn't seem like it's anything out of the ordinary. I sure as hell love my car

This is my .02 what is you're goal? Having a IX sounds great until you start thinking about wanting to get crazy with it. Then you ask why am I tearing up a 30K car again?

Many people have goals to run 9's or 10's which in that case why buy a IX? I bought a 05' with ACD which sounded great until I wanted more power. Now I wish I would have bought a cheaper EVO without a ACD it just adds weight anyway.

Everyone has their reason. If goal is fast times start cheap since you are upgrading almost everything anyway.

All IMO though.

^true....
If I knew I was gonna go for drag racing I wouldnt have bought an evo VII when it just came out.

I would have been better off buying a older model..such as a IV (lighter too) and modifying it.

Would have spent much less!

From: somewhere testing various tires, brakes, and suspensions.
Some are realizing these are expensive to drive (upkeep, insure, fill up...), some are easly bored - always want the next best thing - regardless of what they have, some have ligitimate $ issues (need money for ____), some ***** about warrenty (does it really matter about some warrenty - to many of us, no -- seriously I have never had a car that has had awesome dealer service - dealers suck, its like a universal galactic rule), some are just idiots.

This has been a great car (I have an 8). To each their own. Drive one, feel it, touch it, smell it, love it - own it.

It's a fairly expensive car (to both buy and maintain) and yet it appeals to a younger crowd. My guess is typical buyer is in their early-to-mid 20s. I think a lot of people buy these cars that can't really afford them and reading through the reasons given in the classifieds seems to back that up. The problem is sort of compounded too with modding.

This is a ridicousless question. 9 times out of 10, the main reason has to do with money. They can't afford the car anymore, can't afford the insurance any more, buying a house or something to do with tickets (speeding, aftermarket parts, etc.)

i really see a lot of people selling the nine, but i see that its because people are affraid of loosing profit as the X is comming out. other than that, i see that mitsubishi has horrible customer service, and the EVO is really over charged, anyone think that?
