how power can a evo 8 handle on a stock block and transmission?

the engine and trans are very weak.

 

I think it depends..There are alot of folks here, with very high hp evo's stock tranny,and motor..Clutch seems to be the weak spot..So,its alot easier for people to answer this question if you give them your goals..Like i want 500 hp..will this hold,etc??Just a thought..Justin..

 

Stock engine love boost and power.Highest WHP is 611whp,ET is 10.83,fastest trap is 131.06MPH.I think the engine can be pushed to 9's,140MPH and 700whp. Should be easy with menatahol instead of fuel.If you want to know more,check out my 500whp stock block club thread.

thanks for most of the answer i looking to do a 500 hp car i want to know if the car could handle the power in the engine and trans my brother has a subaru wrx ( not sti ) and it put out 309 to the wheel just blow out second so i trying to learn what not to do so this wouldn't happen to me any time soon.

 

Ive got a friend with 600 hp on his Evo and hes still using stock tranny and t-case. Just using ACT HDSS clutch. He does have a built block though. Me personally im looking to make around 350hp for a good daily driver and plan on sending my tranny and tcase off to shep racing eventually just for reliablitys sake.
