Yes, along with the tail lights. I like the meaty tires.

So is this a "what do you think of my car" thread now?

Did you not read what everyone is saying - you wont have the funds to support an Evo.

Im so sick of seeing these threads about someone who lives at home, with no money wants to get a 30k car.

Go to school, get a good job, move out of parents...used Evo VIII and IX will be around later.

Buying an EVO

At 17 years old, you should be wondering about how much college is going to cost and stop wondering how to get into an Evo.
Go to school, meet lots of girls and have lots fun!!!!!
When you finish school and you get your degree, thats when you go out and buy what ever you want.
When I was 17 I drove a used Toyota Corolla. It was a great car and I spent all of my money fixing this car up. The best part about it is that I paid cash for the car so it was not very expensive to have this car.
I always wanted a nice fast sports car but the fact of the matter is that I could not have one.
Now I am 39 years old, thankfully I have had very good luck as of now. I own 2 houses, have a family now and 3 cars. My company gives me a car allowance so there is no issue with car payments.

Take your time buddy, one step after the other. It will come trust me it will.

Eh, if you just want something that goes fast, it doesnt have to be an evo. You can always find something that is beatup and needs alot of fixing to do. Gives you something to do, gives you car knowledge, and in the end after all done with it, a fast car.

As most have told you, playing with an evo is serious business. It is by far the most expensive car I have ever owned. I worked really hard to pay for my evo and now with over $30k invested, I am now selling my evo. Getting ready to switch houses and need to make a decision, car / house,,,,,, HOUSE!!!! I am 25 years olds, and going to AMS every other week because tuning issues or this that or the other is not running right it gets old pretty quick. I would not suggest worrying about an evo and get a car thats close, GSX, WRX ( hate them but not a bad car). Don't go broke on a car, you will hate yourself for it. I Think about where I could be if i did not own this car and it boggles my mind. But you only live once, so I definetly made the best of it with this car.

Wait on it bro

Well I am 21 and i bought my evo, and I am paying for everything. Then again I have a well paying job. There are many more important things to consider before you go out and buy a $30,000 car. Such as college, for instance.

..I pay $1,000 a month and $200 insurance out my own pocket.
Sorry lowbdgt but for $1000 a month I wouldn't be driving an EVO. That's like buying a new corolla every year.

Uhh, if he is paying it off quickly, short term loan, then its not bad at all. But if hes doing anything longer then a 36month, then ya its terrible.

Guess I read it wrong, but it seemed like he said he was paying $200 for insurance out of his OWN pocket, thinking that his parents was paying the rest off. If so my mistake.
