I've got what can best be descirbed as something that sounds like a couple of pieces of broken glass being shaken inside a coffee can noise coming from somewhere behind my instrument cluster. I didn't have it before my windshield was replaced. I'm guessing the guy who replaced it dropped some pieces into the vents.

5800 miles on my IX and I've got 3 rattles so far, one from the dash right behind the steering wheel, one coming from the glove box, and last one somewhere by the rear windshield. Last one I think is caused by my exhaust. Glovebox will stop rattling if I touch it.

Let's bring this one back to life.

I have a few rattles on the new IX with only 800 miles on it. Think this is a normal trend for the IX;s.

But seriously, most of the 30k went under the hood and suspension. Not the interior.

in case nobody's said this yet:

i fixed my dash piece rattle by stuffing 2 pieces of weather strippings (you can find it at ACE hardware or home depot) at the lower corners of the plastic dash piece. rattle free now ftw.
