just got evo IX

hey i just bought an WW evo IX on sunday with 5 miles on it. cant wait to break it in... but today after work, with about 60 miles on the car i started slowly getting to 3k rpm in 3rd and 4thgear and then quickly got it to 5k rpm. ive done this a couple of times (its addicting). ive been doign reading around here about not going over 5k and i havent.. but is it fine what ive been doing hitting boost and all?
btw... EVO 9 OWNS

Grats on the new ride. I'd be more concerned if you said you haven't pushed it a little and boosted since buying it. It's too much fun! If you stay under 5k rpm and don't boost all around town during your break-in you should be fine. Doesn't it feel great to hop in your evo and hit the road after a hard days work?

nothing really its just a break in prosedure you should follow, even though the motor already has break in time from the manfacture.

Got a question for you guys... I just put on a blitz intake and my car seems to be running with less power. I have a blitz turbo timer as well with built in boost gage; mitsubishi says a factory evo 9 like mine is boosting 20.9 psi. However, my gage only says between 11-12 psi-WHATS UP??

One more question. I will be adding a turbo back 3'' exhaust and a boost controller in the next few weeks. So here is my question with an intake, new blow off valve, boost controler, turbo back 3'' exhaust and a ecu flash, how many psi can i push my factory turbo?????
