BOV's
Can anyone direct me to a previous discussion or enlighten me about BOV's. Are they just because the noise is cool or do they actually do something? Is there an installation how to posted? Thanks.
A bov is a usefull part of a turbocharged engine, as the turbo spins after acceleration when your off the gas the turbo is still compressing air into the charge pipe. a bov has a valve in it that when under pressure pushes up and relives the "boost" or air into the atmosphere, a stock bypass valve does the same thing but brings it back to the intake, a bov is a good thing because you want to relive the extra air when your throttle body is closed its pushing against it, and a bov relives it thats prtty much it good luck
Here's all the useful information on them you could ever want minus installation.
