i just installed my nesei LICP today and it fit perfect on my 9.Now when my turbo spools the whining sound is twice as loud and just wondering if it is normal due to bigger LICP?

 

It could be but I'd check for a boost leak. If you have the means pressurize the system with a compressor or a bicycle pump and figure out if you have any major leaks.

If your seeing lower boost pressures via the boost gauge thats also a good indicator

it runs like normal though,its just that it got louder when i went to a bigger LICP

 

mine got a bit louder after nisei licp install as well

 

What type of NESEI LICP did you get the SS or the aluminum?

cheek for boost leaks

 

if you have an intake in addition to the LICP, it will probably resonate a little louder, similarly as a resonator on an exhaust would.
