A few random ???'s

Hey all. Just had some random questions that didn't fit in one subforum, so I thought I'd put it here.

1) What's the average RPM that the boost kicks in for the GT30R?

2) Same as question one but for the GT35R?

3) Does a regular carbon fiber lip fit on the Gialla front bumper?

4) What would be more reliable: 400whp from strengthening the internals/bolt-ons (stock turbo), or 400whp from a bigger turbo?

Thanks for all your help.

I just heard that it wasn't too good of an idea to be putting that much power with a stock turbo.

1) Around 3800 rpm

2) Around 4500-5000 rpm

3) Don't know sorry

4) Obviously strengthening the bottom end is more reliable than putting more stress on a stock bottom end.

Your goal of 400whp is doable with the stock turbo on race gas which leads to a new question. What sort of fuel do you plan to get 400whp from? On my states crap 91 pisstane 400whp seemingly is a tough and lofty goal with no meth/alky. Hopefully we will see e85 out here which has an octane rating of 106 and I'll be able to realize some awesome numbers with just a simple tune.

I'm not planning on using too much race gas. I'mma stick to my 91/93 octane.

Well.....at least over 350whp

Well since your in my predictament of bad fuel for high boost a smaller turbo will probably be better for you giving you less power but a broader range.

I'm personally trying to decide between these two new turbos out here the FP Evo Green or the buschur 50 trim. Both of them should be good on pump gas. The 50 trim is more proven and slightly larger so I'm leaning towards it.

Buschur's 50 trim supposedly will flow 58lbs/min of air which is VERY close to the gt30r and hopefully, fingers crossed, will have great spool up times. I don't personally plan to change my turbo any time soon so I have the luxury of sitting around and debating on which one i really would go after.

That wasn't his question. He asked if he should use the stock TURBO or an upgraded one.

The answer is, it's easier and safer to run a larger turbo. I don't feel like explaining why, search.

I really don't understand why it would be safer but I'll take your word for it.

In hind sight to his request to only use pump gas I'd have to agree he'll have to upgrade his turbo to get there.
