evo hood vent

Just a question for those folks out there talking about rust. If the hood is Aluminum and the vent is Aluminum how the heck is anything going to rust? When I picked up my TB EVO VIII the vent was painted white, looked f***** up. I went to the loacal Wal-Mart and picked up some High Temp (1200 degree) flat black and painted it. Looks great.

I believe they are talking about things under the hood such as the exhaust manifold and so on.

That is eventually going to rust anyway unless you powdercoat then not the vent. right?
