front breaks are squealing

my front brakes are squaling ( dont know if thats the right term) when i slow down but it ONLY happens at 10mph or under. so going to a stop light is becoming very annoying lately. been happening the last 500 miles and i only have about 5k on the car now.

any ideas i can do to fix this?

It could be either your brake pads are almost caput or that your rotors are glazed over. Check your brake pads to see how much is left on them.

IF you havn't had your rotors cut you can most likely get away with that. otherwise I would probably buy new rotors and brakes.

actualyl if u ever got the "how to maintain my lancer evolution" guide from mitsubishi, it says they will squeek and produce more brake dust than other brakes due to being high performance brakes

time to change the pad and have the rotor turn, at least turn the rotor anyway, try put some anti-squeal compound on the back of the pad too, it helps, mine doe sthe same, until I turn the rotor and re-bed the pad, cheaper than get new rotor and pad

mine does squeel sometimes only at slow speeds like you mentioned.
It's normal.

If you haven't bedded your pads properly, I would strongly recommend you do it.
Just do about 8-10 high speed braking and let the pads/rotors cool down for about 20 min and you should be good.

theyll squeal a little when cold, and since your from NY and its cold, i wouldnt worry about it to much.

You dont need new pads, or rotors, your brakes could be slightly glazed cause they dont get used like they were intended to.

do not turn your rotors. that is pointless. These Brembos are noisy. Do a search on squealing brakes or noisy brakes and it will come up.

you need to rev it more, so then youll need to step on them harder, and they wont squeal at all.

Both mine and my brothers brakes sqeak. Its just because of the high performance pads. No biggy.
