of his three options only the g35 coupe is rwd. BMW XI models are all wheel drive and so is the S4.

Either way, I don't think handing a 16-year-old an Evo is wise for many reasons.

Hehe. Well, you're being pretty mature about it. I know a lot of people who are far worse and less deserving of a 35k car. On the other hand, the EVO is one of thsoe "do it while you're still young" things.

Why not an STi? Good crash test ratings, similar performance to the EVO.

Don't go with audi I've heard too many reliability issues maybe I've just heard all the horror stories though.

I'm kinda surprised i didn't hear a wrx tr in there

Must be nice just being able to choose I didn't get that luxury when i was a kid and frankly i'm a bit envious :P

i was 17 when i got my Evo and I must say it is all in the individual. There is nothing wrong with a 16 year old getting an Evo as long as he has a head on his shoulders. By seeing how you just made this post, it seems to me that you are pretty responsible. I don't think that i could even think about opting away from an Evo.
If you do get in an Evo, please take it up to Mid-Ohio and get some driving lessons. Also the cops and ricers are pretty bad in Columbus and i would urge you to stay away from the racing scene. It will just get you into trouble.

Or the other route like what was already stated is to get a beater or a slightly used car to drive and learn on. Something that you are not going to care so much if it gets hurt. Then as time goes by somehting better or more pleasing to you might come out.

It's your decision wether you think you are mature enough or not. Personally, i would love another member to the Evo community in columbus.

If I was you I'd go for a Legacy Spec B. Really nice car, handles great, can take mods very well, and is fairly safe.
