Opting out of getting an Evo.

Like I said before I was going to get an evo fro my 16th bday and Xmas present. After much thought I have decided to change my mind.

The lack of side air bags and poor crash test ratings were one factor in the decision. I dont really want to have to worry about that when im driving. Anotehr factor was just that im 16. I love evos and I envy those who have them but It would kill me to see my evo wrecked due to inexperience or sheer stupidity.

Another big factor was insurance, everywhere was too expensive for a 16 year old with a brand new evo.

I plan on leasing a car for 2-3 years or so and then get an Evo once I am more experienced.

The new cars I am looking at are the 2007 G35 Sport Sedan, a 2005 S4 at my local audi dealer and still the BMW 328xi.

I would just like to thank everyone who gave me their input and helped me here.

It must be nice to have those options...although I would suggest something with less pull and power of an evo, as it can be dangerous to new drivers who do not know the responsibility of the power, as you can see by examples on this site of rolled over/totaled evos, not to mention fatal occurances. Good luck though, the g35 is sleak.

I geuss so. It would be nice to have my dream car as my first car, but then Ill never have anyting to work for (or i'd feel that way). Im leaning heavily on the g35. Test drove it today, had the numbers figured out and I am waiting for special new dealer inscentives starting Jan 3- 5.

Yea, that's true...the Evo I have I just purchased, with all of my OWN money, it took years of college to finally arrive at a number which I can deal with and still pay off all of my school loans. It's nice to know it's totally yours.

Since it seems that crash safety is your thing, look at the Subaru Lagacy GT... Dual front, front and rear side, and curtain air bags. Plus, the car looks hawt and perfroms well. That's probablly what my wife and I are looking to get this year. Just wish I could afford this new '07 Spec B ( http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2007-...QQcmdZViewItem )...

Spec B FTW!
