If you do get in an Evo, please take it up to Mid-Ohio and get some driving lessons. Also the cops and ricers are pretty bad in Columbus and i would urge you to stay away from the racing scene. It will just get you into trouble.

Or the other route like what was already stated is to get a beater or a slightly used car to drive and learn on. Something that you are not going to care so much if it gets hurt. Then as time goes by somehting better or more pleasing to you might come out.

It's your decision wether you think you are mature enough or not. Personally, i would love another member to the Evo community in columbus.

stop being a tool dude. shut up and get the EVO and don't come back and post till you do. if you want to post a pic of whatever else luxurious POS you get instead and whine about how you shoulda got an EVO forget it.

if you drive reckless any car is deadly, if you use your head and be careful you will be fine. The reason you don't care for the STi is because you've never driven it, obviously. Take it off road and learn to drive, you can handle it, just pay attention and learn.

I wanna see pics -- the new EVO, and whatever hot 18 year old OHIO girls you have clammoring up the hood for your attention.

EDIT: took out some harsh language

Oh I forgot ive never driven an STi or ever been in one for that matter. My friend owns one. I used to love STi then I started to look more at the evo and now i do not care very much for the STi. Im pretty sure you should know what you are talking about before you say it. Especially when it comes to personal experiences.

hey, I didn't mean to hurt your feelings dude. The STi is respectable thats all I meant. I was just saying Go with the EVO you can handle it and will get lots of hot chicks. Then post pics. Or get whatever else and don't complain later.

I know lol. Im getting an evo when I turn 18. Meh I dont know which kind IX or X or XI (=]). Right now im not a fan of the X's. And all the hot girls not only here but typically are more "preppy" and be like "So like why do you have a big piece of plastic on the trunk of your car? Can it llike fly?" Then ill be pissed off and imma have to choke a "bi$h"

I owned two cars before the Evo, and I applaud you for your decision. Evos are intended for experienced drivers.

There is everything wrong with a 16 yo getting an expensive "race" car.

1. It's a car for experienced drivers--and sorry--mature or not a 16 yo new driver is not experienced enough.

2. A kid who gets things paid for will never appreciate what he has because it came easy to him.

3. I can almost guarantee that he will have some sort of accident in his first car--10 fold if it is a sportscar. Statistics don't lie. It's simply the law of large numbers.

It's just a fact of life. That's why insurance rates are higher until you reach 25. All I can say is thank you to the kid for not getting the car and contributing to the already higher risk symbol on the vehicle.

Ive posted those through out the thread of why im not going to get one. . I said I felt i was not experienced enough and would crash. And that I would feel as if there were nothing to work for if i got my dream car as my first car. You hit the nail on the head
