He bought a boost gauge that read bar, and he thought 1 Bar = 1 Psi

 

no i have both guages and it was that a hose was not connected re connected and everything was fine

 

and if that was the case i would have had to ben running 5 bar to think i was at 5 psi

 

I can't think of any hose that would cause 5psi - our minimum boost is 11psi with the stock wastegate.

 

well i had the same problem after pressure testing my car i found alot of things needed replacing injector o ring, a vacum line to the wastegate was torn and a tube from my pressure sensor of my zietronix was very loss the car ran fine until boost kicks in it would only go up to 5psi

 

is the car stock? or near stock... take it to the dealer... get you some value of the 50 year worthless warranty they give

 

thats what was wrong but mine didnt tear it came off so just zip tied it back on and the boosted fine again

I believe they mean the Wastgate not being punctured but the arm being broken (that happened to my MR2) you won't boost crap. Or maybe they mean a massive boost leak. But whatever he was the one at fault.

 

Actually I found out first hand today after my alky kit install.
The hose connecting to the end of my intake plenum had popped off and I was hitting roughly .045 bar which = 6psi
Zip-tied that **** back on and I was set.

 

It was called a joke.
