I dont think any SEDAN would be considered a super car no matter how much it costs, nor the make.

I took this from wikipedia too......"In the United Kingdom, many special Evolutions were introduced, which included FQ300, FQ320, FQ340, and FQ400 variants. They each came with 305, 320, 340, and 400 hp (227, 239, 254 and 298 kW), respectively.

The FQ400, sold through Ralliart UK, produces 302.13 kW (405.2 hp), from its 2.0 L 4G63 engine as the result of being specially modified by United Kingdom tuning firms Rampage, Owen Developments and Flow Race Engines. At 202.9 hp (151.3 kW) per litre, it has one of the highest specific output per litre of any roadcar engine. With a curb weight of around 3200 lb (1451 kg), it achieves a 0-60 in 3.5 seconds and a 0-100 in around 9 seconds, while costing about £47,000. BBC's television series Top Gear demonstrated that the FQ-400 could surprisingly keep up with a Lamborghini Murcielago around a test track. The Stig recorded a Top Gear Power Lap Times of 1 minute 24.8 seconds. [citation needed] In a similar test conducted by UK supercar magazine evo, the Evolution was able to lap the Bedford Autodrome faster than an Audi RS4 and a Porsche Carrera 4S. [citation needed]"

For me a supercar has to be expensive (which the evo isn't), rare (which the evo isn't), perform amazingly (which the evo does), have extreme looks (which the evo does) and be a two seater. The evo is great, but it's still just a sports sedan like the STi, SRT-4, various Audis, BMWs, etc..

Thats fine but Im willing to trade it to any new Lambos & Ferraris out there, and then SELL em, take some of the money, get a new Evo and with all that extra cash, goes into mods. the rest, goes to my savings bond

We all know that the Evo will embarrass a lot of exotic "supercars" but it is not one in the true sense of the term- I think to be a Supercar you have to have fairly low numbers of production and a high price tag- I like mine better than almost all Ferraris, Porsches, Lamborghinis, Maseratis or Aston Martins that i have driven but if I would call it anything it would be a "Fantascticar"

To me, "Supercar" implies an extremely high-priced, very high performance, limited-production, automobile. Supercars are hand-built and cost at least $200,000. They can exceed 180mph. More than simply a high-performance car, a supercar is a status symbol, usually bought not to be driven hard, but rather to be shown off.

In my mind these are examples of recent "supercars":
Saleen S7
Lamborghini Murcielago
Ferrari Enzo
Koenigsegg cc
McLaren F-1
Porsche Carrera GT

Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution? No way.

So are you saying if a Manufacturer made a car with gobs of power, that is just as fast if not faster than every other supercar available (in straight line and track) but sold for 100k-400k less than its not a supercar?
