Hey all,

Okay, I'm a little confused with Mitsubishi's color system for the Evo. If I check the "Build & Price" thing on their website, it gives me only 4 colors to choose from (for the MR) - none of which is black! If I choose the "SE", it gives me a black called Tarmac Black. If I choose the standard IX, I also get a Tarmac Black option.

Anyway, here's the weird part... On my paperwork it says my car is Labrador Black! Since that color doesn't seem to be available on a 2006 Evo from Mitsubishi, how did I get it? Or do I actually have Tarmac Black? I guess I can check the color code... Anyone know exactly where it is located?

I've never seen such confusing specifications on a car... I know the color is pretty irrelevent, but I would really like to know what color my car is

MR SE=Tarmac Black

On my window sticker from my old '03 Rally Red Evo, they listed it as Phoenix Red. No idea why.

 

I think there was a thread earlier that said Larador Black and Tarmac Black were the exact same thing....correct me if im wrong..

My car is Wicked White but when I went to buy a touch-up pen the lady ran my vin and gave me a pen that said "Frost white" or something. Mitsubishi touch-up pens are garbage anyways.

 

Tarmac black=Labrador black.

 

Tarmac black up close in good lighting, looks almost like egg plant purple to me...LOL! I do like the color though, but you don't realize how much blue flake is in it until you start looking closely.

 

Tarmac Black is Labrador Black.

Rally Red is Phoenix Red.

Wicked White is Frost White.

SATAN gave the Evo's different names for the colors as a sales pitch. That's all.

Tarmac, Weightless,, Wicked, Lightning, Rally, Apex, Graphite, Electric, Blue By You.....

 

Weightless and Wicked white are different though.

OMFG are you serious? Does that mean that Electric Blue and Blue By You are different colors, too?

 

Wicked White = Igloo White

 

Sure it's not Snow White? Maybe Albino White?
