I'm New and i want more HP

Im a newby to the world of imports of any kind and i just got me an 03 oz lancer and i was wondering what are some of the easier and cheaper ways to get some more horses out of it. As of now it is bone stock so anything would help, some friends have suggested k&n airfilter, cold air intake, exhaust , and performance chips. Any opinions on certain brands of those or wheather or not those would be good modifications to make please let me know. thanks

www.roadracemotorsports.com

that's a good first stop.

also, look around this site, there's a "lancer upgrade path" somewhere on here, i think it got moved. search for it.

if you're looking for small gains, start with intake and exhaust. that should free up some horses, maybe 5-10. you can grab a high flow cat to free up some more, and a header, but now you are talking about possibly not passing emissions (if you care). then there are some more aggressive upgrades, like throttle body, cam, etc....leading up to a turbo setup. you should also thikn about upgrading the suspension with springs and shocks, tires, stabilizers, etc.

We're all about the search button around here.

Chances are if you have a question, it's already been asked.

Welcome.

An intake, strut bar, and sway bar wouldnt be a bad way to start. (Start Shamelss Plug) Coincidently i happen to be selling that and more here https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...threadid=24944 (End Shameless Plug)

I agree with the RRM method, easy to do and not too bad on the bank account. Good luck and happy motoring!!!
