Smile Whats up Evo owners?

I'm new to this forum, mainly because I like Evo's, but thats just a matter of preference.

I dont own an Evo yet, but I am very interested in buying an Evo IX graphite gray (I love that color). I plan to check some out this week and I'm still waiting for a call from the Mitsubishi dealer nearby to check if they have any graphite grey Evo IX's.

Anyways, I read the FAQ and didnt see a history for the Evolutions and whatnot (difference between the MR, RS, etc). I would like to know more about them, but no luck finding any sort of information.

Btw, how long does the warranty last if bought from the dealer?

thanks!

and one more quick question... will they ever run out on production for the Evo IX MR's or GSR's at the dealerships? because i just found out that I will be paying about 500-600 per month and I told them I might just buy one within a year or so.

meh... im currently not liking the evo x look heh. well anyway, has there been any word of new set of evo ix's up for grabs at any mitsubishi dealers yet? i called all of mines (all far and close) and so far no luck finding one. the one i was looking at was gone the same week. none of the dealers know when the next shipment will come in.

craigslist has some, but i dont trust these 'auto 4 less' dealers.

Its not a problem finding one now but you only have a few months left of them being readily available and then the only thing new your going to find is the X and dont expect for the price to go down as supply gets low.Buy now or get stuck with a bigger heavier evo X

There is a ton of imformation on this site. You might also check out the Wiki page for a general overview. Magazine reviews sometimes are helpful as well.

The Mitsubishi warranty is supposed to be 5yr/60k bumper to bumper 10yr/100K powertrain but it will be voided if you do any "serious" modifications to your car or if they believe the car has been abused. About the only thing that most dealers wont void your warranty for is a drop-in filter and a catback.

what do you mean get one now? i love the evo ix, but im still working on saving up for one and I dont want to be in debt at the same time. are you saying the production for Evo IX's will be gone by Summer 2007 and they will soon be all on craigslist at 70K+ miles? Arent there still some Evo VIII's still being sold at Mitsu dealers (somewhat brand new Evo VIII's)?

There is no evo viii at dealers anymore and IX have already stopped being made. The only way you will be able to get one in a year from now is if for some reason there is a dealer sitting on one cause they didnt want to sell it under retail and got stuck with it or possibly used
