Difference between Evo IX MR and MR SE???
I dont understand the difference between them....both option wise and price wise. Mitsubishi website shows the MR going for abot $37k, while the SE is at $33k. If the SE is a limited edition, shouldnt it be priced higher?? I called a dealer and they said the MR SE is a $40k car. I just dont understand the differences. Which is the best one to get?? Sorry for all the questions but I need to get clarification and the sales men are idiots who dont really know the differences. Thanks in advance!

I have the SE and I love it. I went with this because I couldn't see paying that much more for the 6 speed and I'm not a big fan of the vortex generator. The SE is a sweet car and it denitely turns heads with the lip and wheels...

I think you could've started a new thread instead of resurrecting one from like 13 years ago. But to try and answer your question, yes the 2003 Evo 8s had the HIDs and fog lights with automatic headlight leveling. Not sure about the later years though.

are you sure about that??? as I understood this technology was developed and implemented in mitsubishi to be launched in 2006, since the launch of the Lancer Evo wagon had HIDs headlights but did not have aromatic leveling (this technology was implemented in the Japanese evoIXMR version

Watch this youtube video he does a pretty good job explaining the differences between the headlights from the different model years.
