i thought i heard someone on here say that the HKS hi-power exhaust goes from a 3" and dips down to a 2.5". does anyone know if this is true??

Yea mostly all JDM/After market exhausts/catback neck down at the cat, your best bet is to go Buschur or AMS and buy there full Turboback (downpipe, test pipe, catback) so you get a full exhaust thats 3" all the way through and you get the most horsepower gains for your evo

 

This is not true, it is 100% false. It goes from 3" to about 2.90". The neck down is seriously so slight you have to look hard just to see it.

Also, Dynoflash just did a back to back comparison of the HKS vs Buschur TBE and the BR made 3whp more.

^ this is ABSOLUTELY TRUE. The HKS dose not go too 2.5! I have the HKS Ti exhaust and the first thing i did was measure it. I also got 2.85 2.9!

 

ok thanks alot guys, im gettin exhaust very soon and im just trying to figure out which 1 to go with. does anyone kow the WHP gains with the AMS turbo back system??

 

I also have a 3" dp and tp and my gains were awesome. If anything I would be more worried about the huge resonator than the neck down. In all honesty I was concerned about this neck down too and then the exhaust came to my house and I laughed when I saw it. Once you see it you will wonder why people even post about it on here. All the drama for nothing. Well, you'll see if you buy it.

 

I dont know but there are several threads on here about it. I am not going to tell you to search as most people will on here because I like to help the newbs, but if you go with any reputable company you will enjoy the gains. HKS, BR, AMS, etc. Also, to really see good gains you should get reflashed and of course you should get a MBC at the same time and wow will you be happy.
