IX vs X, which one should i buy?

What about the stock STI motor? It's full aluminum and it can handle close to 600whp on a Dynojet with no modifications. It is almost as strong as the stock 4G63. If it's aluminum it does not automatically suck. Wow. It would sure be nice if the entire car is aluminum.

i sold my '03 evo a couple of months back with the evo X in mind. i say buy what you feeling more the IX or X, can't go wrong with either. it's still the EVO and mitsu is making it so can't be all bad! lol
new tech and new face for EVO is the next gen EVO. you can compare it to the xbox to xbox360..... the old one is still nice and you get great play but the xb360 is new tech and new face to it.
plus the new EVO X looks like it wants to eat other car's souls!!!!!!!!!!!!

im going through the same debate as you. I am leaning toward the X, but the possible lower price of the IX makes me second guess. Also, the X will come in a 5 speed, mitsu has said in thier press releases. You might not get it right away, but wait a little more after its released and it will be there. So if the trans is the only thing you second guess about the X, then that solves that.
my choice.. ix .. i can only enjoy my 04 si for so long =X

ur definitely rite because ive seen some ix's for like 27-28 easily and they have low mileage and all that... if ur not so needy in the new and fresh look ... u prolly wont be let down with the IX Special Edition .. although I wish there was a blue version haha

it will be able to take alot more boost then stock..they have a whole article on that...it just sucks the the 4g63 is no more now its like 4b11 or something like that..quote me if im wrong
