Se Ix ?
Not sure if I posted this in the right thread but I am looking at buying a new IX SE from Norco Mitsubishi and just need to clarify some questions that I asked that I felt were not answered correctly. First of all, I just sold my 03 Evo and just about to sell my 04 Evo as well. I am interested in either the IX se or the MR (leaning towards the SE). Can somebody tell me if all the SE's have the alloy roof panel and the BBS wheels or a sunroof with the Infinity system? I would prefer to have the alloys/BBS package. And what are the differences between the SE and the MR? Sounds like a stupid Q but I want to make sure that I get the Evo that I want since I am only conducting the transaction through the phone. (I'm in Guam). Thanks in advance for all your inputs.
PS. I found them through this forum.

6 speed in the MR, vortex generator black BBS rims not the gunmetal color
SE has 5 speed and has gunmetal BBS.
performance wise the same.

The SE has the aluminum roof (no sunroof avaliable) with diamond black BBS's. The difference between the SE and the MR besides a few color avaliabilities; the MR comes with a 6-speed and a vortex generator, the SE with the (stronger)5-speed

Good luck with the warranty. Have a look at this thread for some info from TRE. About the best info I can find so far.

Only the GSR w/SSL has the sub and sunroof. The SE has the aluminum roof, diamond black BBS rims, HIDs, and 5spd like mentioned above.
Silver06, yes, the 5spd is proven to be stronger than the 6spd, although it's more related to the specific gears than the overall strength. The percentage of busted 6spds is higher than 5spds. I now have a built 5spd in place of my busted 6spd in order to be able to road race without worry.

For the fairly minimal price difference I'd take the SE with the aluminum roof and BBS' over a standard GSR
