2 Brothers, 2 EVO's

My bro borrowed a white EVO IX MR for the weekend. I took it out for a spin to see what I'm missing. I have a Black EVO IX, so I'm curious about the 6 speed and the Bilstein suspension.

First off, the 6 speed is nice. It cruises at a lower RPM @ highway speeds. Other than that, 2nd is kinda short. The suspension is noticeably less jumpy, but still responsive.

Overall, I'm not kicking myself for not getting the MR. I appreciate the leather and sunroof. Both cars are similar enough in both feel and handling. They should though, since they're practically the same car.

My 6 speed lasted 27k on the stock clutch but now its shot. Scottatyamaha can attest to that. Im getting mine done under warranty at the dealership. If i had it to do over again i would still get the MR even though i would like a sunroof and what not. Oh well what you going to do cant have your cake and eat it to.

I was impressed with the 6speed when i test drove it a year ago, but it wasn't enough to make me spend more $$$.
MRs are pretty sic though.
