What about HID Kits for non-ssl IX EVOs?

OK, so I upgraded to an EVO IX non-ssl from an EVO VIII. I want my HID lights back, bad.

So what's the story on these HID kits?
Is there a certain color temperature that I need to stay within, and why?

Also, what's the reason this one costs $400
http://xenondepot.com/product.php?product_id=17

When there are ones on ebay for about $150 and up?

example:

I only recommend the Denso 4300K kit found here:
www.hidexpert.com

I have it and it's awesome. Only compliant is that the balast has short wires so it's tricky to find a good mount that will reach the headlights.

The solution I used, with the help of YimiSport Tuning was to use 3M double sided tape and mount the balasts inside the fenders.

+1 I have them also. The cutoff is pretty amazing for these things. And you must remember that you need d2s bulbs and not d2r bulbs. I mounted the ballast on top of my headlights, they are pretty snug there. I had a thread on this.

Check out this thread with pictures that i've posted.

HIDEXPERT has these d4s bulbs and ballast now, and I'd like to try them out but I just bought these not so long ago so I don't want to part them yet. Someone should try them out and post some pictures.

I'd recommend getting them from a company which has some kind of warranty, especially on the ballasts....a lot of the cheaper ones have the problem of these ballasts burning out and then you have one head light half way through your ride...I bought some for about 140, I think they were pilot HID's. They worked awesome for about a month, then I'd be driving and one would go out and not come back on. Just My opinion...I think some have like a one year warranty on some of there parts. GL

That's eBay for you. Would you trust anything on there to be good? It's like the Gucci purse that you can buy from a roadside vendor. Think about it.

I wanted to pickup the Denso 4300K kit from hidexpert but this kit doesn't come with a wiring harness with relays and fuses. I'm afraid to fry my stock wiring harness so I may go with the Kaixen or Xenondepot kit which comes with a complete wiring harness.

I thought the denso kit from hidexpert came with everything to make it plug and play, least that's what they are saying on their website. The guys who got the denso kit was is totally plug and play or did you have to splice or what?
