holy crap dude, sale me your car, i'll treat it like it should!!...why would you get an Evo if you don't plan on driving it like you should?? you should've bought a lexus or a BMW or something similar.

It seems like you really dont want the car and I would sure as hell want one! so all in seriousness, if you plan on selling it (you should ) let me know!!

Hope you don't have the same concept when "dealing" with your gf/wife!

Never...I love my EVO. Love the looks it gets and I love taking tight turns at high speeds.

As far as the oil temp, I wait till it has moved to the right maybe 1/4 of an inch. By that time the coolant temp has already been at op temp for a few minutes. What's interesting is how much longer it takes to get to temp immediatly after an oil change vs right before it's changed.

My Wife drives a 06 STI for her daily, I guess she's more understanding than others maybe. My kid's 3 and 5, love Mommy and Daddy's cars. I hear Alex in his bedroom playing PGR right now and I'd bet a dollar he's got either the STI or the Evo.

+1

To drive it with any sustained excitement, I need to make a special trip to get out of the city. I know I'm close when I start smelling the cow s**t.

Total miles = 5,500

You know what, 10 of those times that I floored it was for only one reason and that is...I heard you should do it every so often to clean the engine of carbon.

I also have hit 1 bar (yes not even full boost), maybe 25 times. So screw flooring it, I dont even hit 1 freaking bar. I think I have gone over .5 bar 50 times. For real, I am what you call a slow *** driver. Now, I do driver 60 mph everywhere. So 60 in a 65 zone (5 mph below speed limit), 60 in a school zone, 60 in the housing area, 60 on normal 45 mph roads...60 everywhere.

The main thing is, I take forever to hit 60. Most minivans put me to shame. And I'd say I barley beat the dump trucks from stop light to stop light.

I sometimes wounder if I'm screwing up my car by doing this.

BTW, 0 tickets in my life and I pay $391 every 6 months for the EVO and my beater Neon.

I would love to be the second owner to this car!!!!

i drive 30 miles one way and its mostly on a tollroad. I do push it up to 70 to 80 mph. Then settle in with some sport talk show...Mostly straight line speed not too much cutting and weaving in and out of traffic. Got 44k on her now. Still smooth and stock.
