First in Line?
High Costs
I would say that Porsche insurance is pretty stout, and Mitsubishi
may not want their car to compete in that arena. I'm really
not sure if this is the reason, just a theory. None of our reps
seem to have a whole lot of information on it, they just drop
little bits and peices of hints just enough to keep us salivating.
I'm just glad the car is really on its way
No offense to Scooby owners, but...
Sorry Sport! Out here, all the tests by the great auto mags of the world dont count. You gotta take atmospheric pressure (we are near to the lowest point on the earth here!!!!), catalytic converters (not mandatory), fuel quality (very bad) and air temperature (quite moderate) before you can set the records straight on who can run the quarter mile faster.
Incidentally, the scooby i was buying was an STI souped up by the nephew of the main dealer - The car was cherry (2000 model, Prodrive ECU, full Prodrive Exhaust System, and a couple of small mods) and probably the fastest scooby out here. But pound for pound, the car couldn't hold up with my Evo, although, in all fairness, it did dust a 5 GSR at the local strip...
Again, it all comes back to where on the planet you are as well as the variables i mentioned above...

Hehe, just been thinking about the Porsche thing. Seen people here oversteer into the wall at relatively low speed. I guess you throw that car away...
However, the majority of crashed Porsches are front ended (they UNDERsteer a lot!!). Lift off to get it into a corner and it goes straight...

Heh,heh, I also find it funny when I see skid marks that skid to the inside of a corner and then you hear people commenting "Oh, looks like they were going too fast". Um, No, they probably could have been going a lot faster, they just panicked when the back end stepped out a bit as they had let off the gas, then in their "Oh my god" dispair stepped on the brakes.
