just for you know the HKS is not a True 3" exhaust , it's actually 2.75" ..

I absolutely love mine, and unless you are running 500hp+, the tapering issue really has no effect.

Its really loud on the cars I have heard but It looks badass with the angle and the carbon muffler/ti tip.

Most of the people who are willing to spend enormous amounts of money on something like that to only get ~10whp do not regret it at all. They like being able to say their exhaust is made by HKS and that it has a Carbon/TI muffler. They also like how the muffler looks in all of its JDM Tyte Glory. It's the ones who came from the ricer world and didn't realize there were more powerful, cheaper exhausts that weight almost the same who regret their purchase. So, it depends on your preferences. Know the details beforehand, and if you don't care how much it costs to get the looks, then I'm sure you'll love it. If you prefer to actually get power in exchange for your money, then you'll buy something else.

I initially had a Buschur turboback and got a IX rear and it looked like garbage with their muffler. I simply chopped their's off and got a universal HKS Carbon-Ti canister. This way i get the looks i want with the "true 3"" everyone loves preaching about.

I'm still able to maintain my super important JDM Tyte Glory ego while making no sacrifice in the performance department.

An exhaust is an exhaust. HKS owners can brag, but when it comes dyno time, it doesn't even matter. An Ebay exhaust probably puts the same exact power down as the HKS does.

In a way, yes, I do regret it. Even though I got the cat-back and downpipe extremely cheap together used (cheaper than ANY catback new), I know I could have gone a different route for more power. Main reason I stuck with the HKS was it was quiet. Of course, I'm running stock cat, so others might be just as quiet. I don't like the angle and the low stance either. So, if I had to do it again (which I will), I will get a cheap, full 3" TBE. Probably Megan. If I would have paid full new prices for my HKS exhaust, I would not be happy.

considering no taper it probably puts out more

I simply see no point in putting carbon fiber underneath your car where no one will look or even want to look

it'll be covered in road grime in two days then that's the end of that
