the cat back goes back untill meet the cat. the TBE goes all the way untill meet the turbo.
the real power gain you can get that is the TBE.

A turboback Exhaust would include a downpipe, Highflow catalitic converter or test pipe, and a catback. So it would pretty much fully complete the exhaust from the turbo it self back wards starting at the down pipe. Hope this helps

i also heard with a turboback exhaust you will kill your whole drivetrain warranty. With a catback you won't void it... but you never know Mitsubishi...sometimes they even considering voiding your warranty if they see different front seats LOL

i've heard as long as you have a cat then youre okay. they like to use that because lets say they void it and you want to go to court, or threaten them. they'll just say the car wasn't legal for the road...

that being said the powers for the evo is mostly gain from the downpipe and test pipe. the catback will give you some power, but if youre short on cash i would get a downpipe testpipe and run the stock catback.

cheers!
