The car is running on stock suspension settings. its a pretty hard ride though... I think the TME's ride is a little stiffer then the standard Evo 6, although I am not an expert on these things yet...

I had the turbo boost tested yesterday (incidentally, I clocked 180 Kms in the pouring rain doing it on a stretch of road going to the airport - couldn't wipe the smile from my face )
The boost was measured at 1.15 bar - not sure if this was the setting originally or the previous owner messed around with it...

I am not very happy with the performance of the tires or the clutch; the sidewalls of the tires begin to fold when I am tearing sideways with passengers (you get the feeling that the tires are peeling of the rims at back). And the clutch, well, all I can say is that I am not getting the rush that i would expect to get from a car of this performance level...

The confusing part is that I am getting advice from several people to upgrade different parts first - now in order to do all that has been recommended, I am looking at about US$ 8-10 grand!

Are you still using the S-01s that came with the car? they are definitely not the best, once you change them you will notice a difference. Also, check tyre pressure regularly, the car feels different with minor changes in pressure (at least I think mine does).

din't know about the original clutch, mine came with a Cusco twin-plate. I am quite satisfied with it.

I have a cold air box (Monster sports, I think) with an induction kit and HKS Hypper exhaust. Make sure that the stuff "matches" so that there aren't any bottle necks.

Too bad you only have one tuner where you live, hope he is good.

PZeros... I wish. These are special order items out here - big money if you know what i mean. I was thinking about slapping down a couple grand for some Pilots, which are readlily available.

The clutch is geared for inner-city driving, but useless for anything else. I dont think there should be a problem changing it without adding stress to the tranny, as the stock box was torn out during a speed test by the former owner. The tranny i got, although feels faster due to shorter ratios, tops me out at about 215 Kms... Small price to pay I guess!

Will check on the Yokos though.

Texasroller,

S-01s are the the older Bridgestone Potenza which came with the TME, then they had the S-02s which almost everyone liked (including me), and now they have the S-03s which Claudius and Michaelk don't like, and I am still forming an opinion on.

My dad used to run the Pilots on his WRX, he liked them but I didn't. They were quiet but did not grip so well, slides were quite progressive though.

Is the car you have prepped for racing (hence the new gearbox)? The normal gears should take you to 250kmh, or maybe you have the RS gear ratios.

The car was setup for racing - the camber of the car and toe angle was drastically altered before i set everything back the way it was.

The previous owner did enter a couple of local speed test and a national rally with it, although he didn't do too well in either, having destroyed the original transmission during on of the speed tests!

HELP: Need HKS Turbo Timer Manual!!!

This sucks! I just got a Type 1 HKS Turbo Timer but the installation manual and the user manual are all in Japanese!!!!

The garage installed the device without the manual but they were unable to calibrate the speedo and rev meter with the ones on the dash board.

Anyone know where I can get my hands on a softcopy of both guides in ENGLISH?

So far, I can only use it to shut the engine down but nothing else is functioning accurately!! I cant wait to start clocking 0-60 mile an hour runs on the stop watch...!

HELP!!!

Claudius, your a star! Thanks alot man!:headbng2:

And i thought the device was hooked up all wrong because the speedo and RPM meter where all screwed up, not in sync with the dash board...

Cheers!
